LAUSANNE, Switzerland, March 7, 2019—The FIE and Organising Committee for the 2019 Torun Junior and Cadet Fencing World Championships are pleased to announce that press and media registration is now open. The Championships take place in Torun, Poland from April 6 to 14, with teen fencers competing in 18 events featuring team and individual competition for men and women in epee, foil and sabre.
Dozens of countries send young teams and fencers to the Junior and Cadet Fencing World Championships, and we expect this year in Torun we again will experience record numbers of athletes participating. The nine-day competition is being held at the Torun Arena Sports Hall, in central Torun and not far from many of the city’s attractions and features, including the UNESCO World Heritage Medieval Town of Torun, shopping, parks, museums, restaurants and more.
