BANSKO, Bulgaria—An epee camp will be held this summer in Bansko, Bulgaria from July 29 to August 5, providing junior athletes of all abilities from around the world an opportunity to work directly with Olympic and World Championship medallists.
The International Fencing Camp is open to beginning, intermediate and elite epee fencers, boys and girls, in age categories U12 (2010-2007), U15 (2006-2004) and U18 (2003-2001). Adding to the fencing activities, Bansko is culturally rich, located at the foot of the Bulgarian National Park Pirin, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This modern region offers a wide variety of options to explore nature, history, and recreational attractions. Bansko is about a two-hour drive south from Sofia.
Organized by the MK Fencing Academy and Fencing Club Sofia, the event is also partnered with the Bulgarian Fencing Federation. Early (discounted) registration is available through March 31. Details may be found at the official International Fencing Camp web site.
