Japan Fencing Federation organised “Fencing Vision Forum 2018” to celebrate the World Fencing Day and discussed together for the future of Fencing toward and beyond the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games on September 8, 2018 in Tokyo. About 100 fencers, coaches and members participated in the forum. The forum consisted of 3 sessions. The guest speakers were active leaders in their business field and heroes from other sports. After the sessions, participants were separated into groups and deeply discussed on different themes. After that, they shared their outcome and decision from respective groups.
Kazuyasu MINOBE, the gold medalist of Team Epee in the recent Asian Games said, “It was a great time for those who pursue for the Tokyo 2020 Games, to know what is happening in the world. I also think that this forum provided us a valuable opportunity for fencers to visualize how to represent ourselves now and to envision our further careers.”
