ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast, August 18, 2018—The Ivory Coast Fencing Federation recently hosted the “Grand Prix Sword of Abidjan” in the capital city Abidjan, at the Palais des Sports de Treichville. An example of fencing development and growth in Africa, this event attracted impressive participation by local and regional fencers, as well as significant interest by spectators. The event, which took place on August 18, was called a “real success” by organizers and is promoting fencing in Ivory Coast as the first event of the new 2018-2019 competition season.
