The 2014 Oceania Confederation Fencing Championships were held in the Australian capital, Canberra, from December 5-9 2014. All three weapons were contested. Many of the athletes had recently competed in the FIE World Championships in Hungary and at the Commonwealth Fencing Chamionships in Scotland, so the quality of the fencing was very high.
Notable results include Abigail Nutt winning the Veteran Womens Epee Championships - defeating Sarah Osvath in the final who won Silver at the World Championships earlier this year - while her brother Nigel Nutt - 2014 Commonwealth Veteran Gold medalist - won the Veteran Foil Championship.
