USA’s Massialas Alexander enjoyed his win in the Men’s foil individual event after beating Heo Jun of Korea by 15-10. Alexander, who took silver at the World Fencing Championships in Moscow 2015, became the top ranked foil fencer after his victory on Saturday. Moscow’s 2015 World Champion, Ota Yuki of Japan and USA’s Meinhardt Gerek won bronze.

In Saint Maur, Italy’s Arianna Errigo kept her composure to edge out her compatriot, and top ranked fencer, Di Francisca Elisa and clinch the Women’s foil individual World Cup by 12-11, on Saturday. The two bronze medals went to USA’s Kiefer Lee and Germany’s Golubytskyi Carolin.
