Serbian Fencing Federation with Serbian Olympic Committee and IOCs project Olympic solidarity have organized Technical course for coaches in fencing.
The lecturer is reputable Romanian coach Petre Ducu. The course was held in Serbian ski center Kopaonik and had 25 participants.
During the course, Serbian Fencing Federation held preparation camp for young national teams (cadet and junior) with some guests from Croatia and Macedonia.
That mix turned to be excellent, since the new and already established coaches had opportunity to work with formed competitors and experience in practice all technical elements that were explained.
The coaching course, apart for it's educational purposes was also a part of necessary educational process for legal licencing of fencing coaches in Serbia and was held with participation of Faculty of Physical education of Belgrade University.
There were also guest lecturers from ADAS, Anti-doping agency of Serbia, and National Olympic Committee (NOC) partner company Adecco, as part of IOC project "Career after sport".
The course was also part of the Serbian development program, consisting of opening fencing clubs in new cities in Serbia. In past season and a half, Serbia have managed to open fencing clubs in 5 cities. Great help in that program was the FIE material help, Serbia received in 2015.
Fencing federation of Serbia will continue to organize coaching seminars on two months basis, along with some promotional projects that will be realized in this season, with Junior and Cadet European championship as a peak event of the season.
