Cadet Mixed Team event
Following the initial test at the Cadet World Championships in Tashkent (UZB), this event shall be repeated, with a few adjustments, at the 2016 Cadet World Championships in Bourges (FRA). These two events will allow us to comprehensively assess this event.
Refereeing Workgroup
A workgroup will be created to examine various issues relating to refereeing exams, applications, seminars, and training programmes.
Confederations Statutes
In order to take into account the many changes made in the past few years, and to harmonise Statutes between the FIE and its Confederations, a workgroup will be formed (Confederations, Legal Commission, FIE Bureau). The final Confederation Statutes will be submitted for Executive Committee approval when it meets in November 2015, ready to be adopted by the Federations in the first half of 2016.
FIE Competition Protocol
A stand-alone protocol handbook has been adopted. It replaces the corresponding chapter in the Administrative Rules, and is featured on the FIE website in the Handbooks section.
Administrative Rules
Chapters 3, 5, and 9 have been edited, following proposals from the Executive Committee and Legal Commission.
Equipment
At the FIE SEMI Commission’s recommendation, we have decided to suspend the use of Leon Paul 2013-2015 Epee blades until hearing the final conclusions of the analyses currently underway. The FIE Executive Committee will make a final decision once it has the results of this analysis. Manufacturers are reminded that:
- Equipment or changes to equipment not submitted for SEMI Commission approval (earlier version of PBT sabre mask),
- Equipment that does not work perfectly in all situations and therefore does not comply with FIE Rules (body wire with bayonet connection), Will not be accepted during equipment controls at FIE competitions.
The SEMI Commission will immediately contact manufacturers about this matter.
